Thailand's PM Srettha Thavisin announced plans to legalize casinos and build a nuclear power plant during his first monthly TV address. The government aims to tackle underground gambling with legal casinos and reduce electricity costs with a nuclear power plant, which has lower generation costs. A majority of the House of Representatives previously supported a study favoring legalized casinos within large entertainment venues.
