PETA India and actor Adah Sharma gifted a life-size mechanical elephant named Baladhasan to Kerala's Pournamikavu temple. The temple will use the mechanical elephant, the third in a Kerala temple, in ceremonies and festivals, sparing live elephants from captivity. The temple's decision not to use live elephants earned it PETA's recognition and the mechanical elephant.
