Oklahoma head football coach Brent Venables has agreed to a new six-year contract extension, pending board approval. The deal includes a significant pay raise and increased commitment to the football program. Venables, 53, is in the third year of his previous six-year contract, which paid him a fully guaranteed $43.5 million. The new contract will take effect before Oklahoma officially joins the SEC in all sports on July 1, 2024.
