An Iranian-backed Iraqi Shiite militia, Kata'ib Sayyid al-Shuhada, claims one of its fighters was killed in a US airstrike in eastern Syria near the Iraqi-Syrian border. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights confirms an unknown airstrike killed an Iraqi fighter from the Islamic Resistance in Iraq and wounded two others.
