Delhi Police plans to expand its bomb detection, disposal, and dog squads to each district following email bomb threats to schools, hospitals, and other establishments. There have been at least seven instances of such threats in the past two months, using VPNs or proxy servers. The threats were determined to be hoaxes and are under investigation. The Crime Branch currently oversees five bomb disposal squads, 18 bomb detection teams, and one dog squad with 70 canines for Delhi's 15 police districts.
