CCPA urges electronic appliance manufacturers to clarify warranty start dates and address grievances.

The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) urged electronic appliance manufacturers to clearly inform customers about the starting date of their warranty period and promptly address grievances. A meeting with leading electronic appliance companies, including Reliance Retail, LG, Panasonic, Haier, Croma, and Bosch, discussed shifting the start of the warranty period from the date of purchase to the date of installation. The CCPA asked for companies' feedback within 15 days.
