Delhi court postpones hearing on Engineer Rashid's interim bail plea until July 1; Rashid, a newly elected MP, seeks bail to take oath as an MP. He was arrested in 2017 on terror funding charges in Jammu and Kashmir and has been in jail since 2019. Rashid's counsel argued that it is his constitutional duty to take oath and that he should be granted interim bail or custody parole to perform his parliamentary functions. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) requested more time to file a reply due to the case being under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA).
