Apopka police responded to an overdose call, where a man later shot and killed himself after officers questioned him. The incident occurred at the Oasis at Wekiva apartment complex, and the victim had produced a handgun during the questioning. Officers retreated for safety, hearing one gunshot, and the SWAT team was later called in. The man was found dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
