Amtrak and NJ Transit suspended train services due to power issues, causing delays and disruptions along the Northeast Corridor. Power failure shut down all lines for over three hours, affecting more than half a dozen trains and causing significant holdups in and out of New York's Penn Station. After repairs, service was partly restored, but significant delays were anticipated due to rail congestion and single-tracking.
