37-year-old Shandel Kelly, a former support worker, was found guilty of stealing $5k from her Parkinson's disease client's bank account, leaving her with only $500. Kelly, from Koonawarra, admitted to the crime at Wollongong Local Court and was relieved of her role at Client Care First. The 63-year-old victim, who required 24/7 care, discovered the theft in November 2022 when a support worker attempted to buy items on her behalf and found just $221 in her account.
