19-year-old Dani Mansour pleaded guilty to rioting after a Sydney church stabbing, claiming "wrong place, wrong time."

19-year-old Dani Mansour, accused of rioting and kicking police cars after a bishop was stabbed in a Sydney church, pleaded guilty and asked not to be convicted, claiming he was "in the wrong place at the wrong time." Mansour was due for sentencing at Blacktown Local Court, where defense barrister Tim Kent argued that his conduct was at the lower end of objective seriousness. The riot involved approximately 2000 people and carries a maximum prison sentence of 15 years.
