WWII replica planes from non-profit organizations Legacy Flights and Dream Flights are offering free flights to honor veterans at the CenterPoint Energy Dayton Air Show. Since 2011, the two groups have flown 6,722 flights, allowing veterans to experience a taste of their past in North American AT-6 and Boeing Stearman Biplane replicas of WWII trainers. The flights have provided emotional benefits and a sense of appreciation for the veterans who participated.
