Uganda has signed a deal with the UAE's Sharjah Chamber of Commerce to build a new international airport near Kidepo National Park, close to the Kenyan border. The airport, set to commence construction in August, will boost tourism by attracting visitors to the park's diverse wildlife. This marks the UAE's expansion of economic interests beyond renewable energy and oil and gas sectors, and strengthens the partnership between the two nations.
