The Supreme Court granted two-week interim bail to activist Mahesh Raut, an accused in the Elgar Parishad-Maoist links case, to attend his grandmother's rituals. The vacation bench of Justices Vikram Nath and SVN Bhatti directed that Raut's bail will commence from June 26 and he must surrender on July 10. The court considered the facts, period of incarceration, and nature of Raut's request before granting the bail.
