South Korea's automotive export rose for the second consecutive month in May, reaching $6.49bn, an increase of 4.8% from the previous year. The growth was driven by global demand for eco-friendly vehicles with exports of such cars growing to $2.18bn. In terms of volume, car exports increased by 2.9% to 254,496 units. North America was the top export destination for South Korean cars with sales jumping by 36.3% to $3.96bn.
