Samoa secured their place at the OFC Women's U-16 Championship in Fiji in September, after defeating American Samoa 11-0 in the qualifying round. Scoring 22 goals and conceding none over the two games, Samoa's dominant performance will put other teams on notice. Forward Holly Leapai scored in the first minute and completed a hat trick in the 10th minute, while Cali Willis and Lynn Aiono Sagiao also contributed to the team's success.
