Nigeria's West African Examinations Council (WAEC) plans to gradually eliminate paper use in examinations, with a move to deploy electronic devices across the country. This aims to eliminate paper registration of candidates and detect malpractices. A collaboration with the Ministry of Education will help set a timeline for the transition. Over 1.8 million candidates are writing the exams across Nigeria.
