Nigeria's Super Eagles drop to 38th in FIFA rankings due to World Cup qualifier struggles.
Nigeria's national football team, the Super Eagles, has dropped eight places to 38th in the latest FIFA rankings, falling from 30th position. This decline is attributed to their recent struggles in the World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic after finishing as runners-up to Côte d'Ivoire in the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations final. Morocco remains the best-ranked African team in twelfth place, followed by Senegal, Egypt, and Côte d'Ivoire.
