Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja urges residents to register for Kenya's new health insurance program, Social Health Insurance Fund (SHIF), replacing National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF). Starting July 1, 2024, the Ministry of Health will lead a mass registration exercise across all 47 counties. The program costs Sh300 and covers hospital bills, enhancing access to healthcare services.
