Remains found in 1992 in Lancaster County, PA, have been identified as Derek Michael Mason, a Philadelphia man killed in 1991. His remains were discovered near the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Clay Township and had gone unidentified until advanced testing using his bone samples identified him through genetic genealogy in 2023. The Lancaster County District Attorney's office and Pennsylvania State Police are now investigating his murder.
