Five men were convicted by a federal jury in Las Vegas for operating a massive, unauthorized streaming service, Jetflicks, for over a decade. Operating since 2007, the service provided users with access to hundreds of thousands of copyrighted television episodes. The men used sophisticated computer scripts and software to scour pirate websites for the copies, and the service generated millions in subscription revenue. Jetflicks had a streaming catalog larger than that of Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, and Amazon Prime combined.
