3 men, aged 52-62, were arrested for allegedly using fake gold ingots to cheat a woman out of S$4,000. Police received a report that the victim was approached by two men claiming they found gold ingots during excavations in Singapore, and offered to leave the gold with her for safekeeping in exchange for cash collateral. The men also presented a document with old Chinese writings and a small gold ingot.
