Lang'ata MP Felix Odiwuor, aka Jalang'o, has rejected the Finance Bill 2024, despite President William Ruto's calls to support it. Jalang'o said he opposed the bill due to its impact on various youth issues and the protests by the young generation. Nairobi Woman Representative Esther Passari also rejected the bill, joining opposition lawmakers who had aligned with Ruto's administration.
