Kerala's Wayanad district appoints its first CPI(M) Minister, OR Kelu, as the new SC/ST Minister in the Pinarayi Vijayan Cabinet. Kelu, a two-time legislator and Scheduled Tribe member, aims to improve the lives of the tribal community by focusing on man-animal conflicts, infrastructure, healthcare, and education. He succeeds K Radhakrishnan, who resigned after being elected to the Lok Sabha.
