Joby Aviation, an electric air taxi startup, received FAA approval for its in-house developed software suite, called ElevateOS, that will facilitate high-tempo, on-demand air taxi operations. ElevateOS comprises pilot tools, operations software, a rider app, and an intelligent matching engine. This permission is a significant milestone for the company, which aims to start commercial operations as early as 2025.
