India, Australia, and France have reaffirmed their commitment to a free, open, inclusive, and rules-based Indo-Pacific at the third 'India-France-Australia trilateral focal points' meeting. The nations discussed progress under the three pillars of maritime safety and security, marine and environmental cooperation, and multilateral engagement, and identified new proposals for furthering cooperation, including under the Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative (IPOI) and Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) mechanisms, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief cooperation, and multilateral engagements. The virtual meeting underscores the countries' shared commitment to uphold values in the Indo-Pacific region.
