The IMF has approved a $900m financial support package for Tanzania, comprising a 23-month Resilience and Sustainability Facility (RSF) worth $786m, to bolster its budget and facilitate climate change initiatives. This will support Tanzania's macroeconomic stability, promote economic recovery, and foster sustainable growth. The RSF aims to help Tanzania address climate-related risks and enhance its economic resilience, while an immediate disbursement of nearly $150m has been provided, extending the existing program by six months.
