Former Humboldt Broncos goaltender Jacob Wassermann, a survivor of the 2018 bus crash that killed 16, has been named to Canada's Paralympic team in rowing. Wassermann, who is paralyzed from the navel down, won a national rowing title in 2023 and will make his Paralympic debut in Paris this summer. His silver medal at a continental regatta in Rio de Janeiro in March secured a Canadian boat for the Paralympic Games.
