Georgia Judge Christina J. Peterson was arrested for hitting a police officer and obstructing law enforcement at a nightclub.

A controversial Georgia judge, Christina J. Peterson, was arrested early Thursday morning after allegedly hitting a police officer on the head and refusing to identify herself outside a nightclub in Atlanta. Peterson, a Democrat, was charged with felony obstruction of law enforcement officers by using threats or violence and simple battery of a police officer. The incident occurred at the Red Martini Restaurant and Lounge on Peachtree Road.
