Boston Public Schools ends school year early on Thursday due to parade safety concerns.

Boston Public Schools will be ending the school year early on Thursday due to concerns about Friday's victory parade for the Boston Celtics. Superintendent Mary Skipper stated that the expected crowds, road closures, detours, and scheduled half day coinciding with parade times mean there is no safe and reliable transportation for students. As a result, summer vacation starts a day early for Boston students.
