Belfast rap group Kneecap granted permission to challenge UK govt's £15k funding block via judicial review.

Belfast rap group Kneecap has been granted permission to challenge the UK government's decision to block their £15,000 ($19,000) funding award. The group, which speaks Irish, is seeking a judicial review into claims that denying the grant unlawfully discriminates against them on grounds of nationality and political opinion. The band members believe the legal action is not about the money but about an attack on artistic culture, the Good Friday Agreement, and their way of expressing themselves. The case will be heard in November following the group's US tour.
