Cleveland Clinic study in JACC shows that bariatric surgery lowers risks of major adverse cardiovascular events and death for obese patients with moderate-severe sleep apnea. The MOSAIC study found a 42% reduction in cardiovascular events and 37% reduction in mortality over 10 years compared to non-surgical group. Weight loss from bariatric surgery associated with lower risks of cardiovascular events and death.
