Australia's $7.7M government-funded project tests electric vehicles as mobile batteries to power homes and provide a low-cost energy solution.

Australia's $7.7M project, backed by $3.2M government investment, will test electric vehicles as "batteries on wheels" to power homes. Victorian firm Amber Electric, leading the trial, will install smart chargers and vehicle-to-grid tech in homes across NSW, Victoria, Queensland, SA, and the ACT. This comes after a report suggested electric vehicles could earn $12K/year by storing renewable energy and feeding it back into the grid, offering a low-cost energy solution.
