2 arrested in Florence hit-and-run that killed 30-year-old cyclist Jonathan Mendez. Meredith Cannon, 45, driver, charged with hit-and-run involving death, driving under suspension, and failure to give info/aid. Kenneth Burks, 56, owner of the vehicle, charged with permitting unauthorized person to drive and accessory after the fact to murder. The incident occurred on June 6 on Howe Springs Road.
