In April 2024, EPFO recorded its highest net member addition of 18.92 lakh, a 31.29% increase from March. The 18-25 age group comprised 55.50% of new members, and female membership increased by 35.06%. Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and Haryana showed the highest net member additions. The surge in membership is attributed to increased job opportunities, awareness, and EPFO outreach programs.
