25-year-old SSF officer Shatrughan Vishwakarma died after being struck by a bullet from his own weapon at Ram Temple in Ayodhya, sparking an investigation into whether the incident was an accidental firing or suicide. Vishwakarma was deployed near the VIP gate close to the Koteshwar temple, approximately 150 meters from the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Temple. This marks the second on-duty firearm incident at the site in less than a year.
