42-year-old Joseph Doyle, with 109 previous convictions, has been sentenced to five years in jail for mugging "a wholly innocent man", leaving the victim with skull and facial fractures in Dublin. Doyle, of Queen Street, Dublin 7, pleaded guilty to robbery and assault causing harm. The attack occurred at Haymarket in Smithfield, Dublin, where Doyle was seen on CCTV punching the victim in the face, knocking him to the ground.
