56-year-old Hudson Valley firefighter, Robert Cromie, was sentenced to 1 to 5 years in state prison for purposely setting his home on fire while his wife slept. The Ulster County District Attorney's office announced the conviction for arson. Ulster County Director of Emergency Services Everett Erichse emphasized that arson is treated as a serious crime, especially when committed by firefighters who are trusted to protect communities.
