RBI net sold $3.64bn foreign currency in April, marking its first net dollar sale in four months.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) net sold $3.64bn worth of foreign currency in April, according to the central bank's monthly bulletin. Amid global volatility, the RBI sold $11.65bn while purchasing $8bn of foreign currency, marking the first net dollar sale in four months. The central bank's net outstanding forward sales by the end of April stood at $16.25bn, against $541m in March.
