EU ambassador to Georgia, Pawel Herczynski, stated on Wednesday that Georgia's bid to join the EU has been effectively halted due to new legislation on "foreign agents". The foreign agent law signed into law this month has a negative impact on Georgia's progress in joining the EU, with the process now "practically stopped, practically frozen".
