Victoria will establish a statewide independent truth-telling process for victims of historical sexual abuse in government schools, accepting all nine recommendations of the Beaumaris Board of Inquiry. The process will run until 2026, after which a statewide apology will be made by the government in parliament, accompanied by a public memorial.
