University of South Australia study finds incorporating nuts into calorie-controlled diets aids weight loss without adverse effects.

New research from the University of South Australia suggests that incorporating nuts into calorie-controlled weight loss diets can aid weight loss without hindrance. Analyzing seven randomized controlled trials, researchers found that adding nuts to energy-restrictive diets did not produce adverse effects on weight loss. In fact, four of the seven studies showed that those who consumed 42-84 grams of nuts achieved more significant weight loss than those on diets without nuts. This could be due to the ability of nuts to efficiently curb hunger.
