The Ulster Canal restoration, symbolizing peace and reconciliation, is nearing completion with the Taoiseach, Tánaiste, and Northern Ireland's First Minister set to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony in Clones, Co Monaghan. The canal, built in the 19th century, runs through counties Armagh, Fermanagh, Tyrone, Cavan, and Monaghan. Restoration of this disused waterlink is a flagship north-south infrastructure project.
