Taiwan dismisses China's objection to exchange of congratulatory messages between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Taiwanese President Lai Ching-te, describing Beijing's reaction as an "unreasonable interference". Taiwan's Deputy Foreign Minister, Tien Chung-kwang, stated that India and Taiwan will not be intimidated by China's criticism of their strengthened ties.
