Sri Lanka's Supreme Court grants three weeks for PM, Cabinet, and Adani Group to file preliminary objections to an environmental group's petition against their $750M wind power project.
Sri Lanka's Supreme Court has given Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena, the Cabinet, and the Adani Group three weeks to file preliminary objections to a petition filed by an environmental group against the Adani Group's wind power project in the country. The project involves two wind energy projects with a total investment of $750 million. The environmental group claims that the Cabinet's decision to treat the project as a Sri Lanka-India government-to-government venture is illegal and will cause significant damage to the environment.
