Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) dismantled an illegal refinery in a forest at Umelechi Ukwa West in Abia State, arresting 14 suspects. The NSCDC attributed the success to credible intelligence provided by well-meaning Nigerians. The suspects operated an illegal refinery, refining crude oil into Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) and Kerosene, which were stored in tanks, bags, and sacks.
