NASA awards Lockheed Martin a $2.27 billion contract to build GeoXO satellites for NOAA.

NASA selects Lockheed Martin to build $2.27 billion spacecraft for NOAA's Geostationary Extended Observations (GeoXO) satellite program. The contract includes the development of three spacecraft, with options for four more, and supports 10 years of on-orbit operations and five years of on-orbit storage for each spacecraft. The work will take place at Lockheed Martin's facility in Littleton and NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
