Metro Vancouver is launching an independent review of its North Shore Wastewater Treatment Plant, which has more than doubled its initial $700M budget to $3.86B. Originally set to open in 2020, the plant's completion has been pushed back to 2030. Regional government concerns about cost management effectiveness have prompted the review, which will be welcomed by Metro Vancouver's chief administrative officer.
