Romania had the highest annual inflation rate of 5.8% among EU Member States for the fifth consecutive month in May, according to Eurostat data. The harmonized index of consumer prices in the Eurozone rose to 2.6% in May, following a 2.4% increase in April. The highest contribution to the annual inflation came from services, which grew at a faster pace of 4.1% in May.
