Maryland State Trooper hit by suspected impaired driver in work zone; no injuries, charges filed.
A Maryland State Trooper was struck by a suspected impaired driver while inside his patrol vehicle in a work zone in Montgomery County. Nithya Ramani, 37, was charged with driving under the influence after the incident, which occurred at 1 a.m. in the work zone on the Outer Loop of Interstate 495 and Greentree Road. Neither the trooper nor Ramani were injured in the collision.
